Babdem

 

Babdem, Srinagar is a locality situated near the scenic Bab Demb Lake in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. Also known as Brari Nambal, this small freshwater lake is connected to the renowned Dal Lake through a channel, earning its nickname as a lagoon of the Dal Lake. However, over the years, it has faced environmental challenges and is currently in a deteriorated state, with ongoing efforts to revive its former glory. 

Living in this beautiful place since August last year has been a remarkable experience for me. The breathtaking beauty of nature and the warmth of its people have made a deep impression on me. It wasn't a coincidence that I found this house; it felt like destiny led me here. From the moment I set foot in it, I knew it was the perfect place for me, and I have been living here ever since.

There is something truly special about Babdem that makes it unforgettable. Witnessing the sunrise over the serene landscape is an awe-inspiring sight that never fails to captivate me. Moreover, the people here have embraced me with open arms and showered me with love and kindness. Their hospitality and genuine warmth have made me feel at home.

Living in this locality has been a transformative experience for me. I have learned invaluable lessons and grown in various aspects of my life. This phase has become the most significant period in my journey, as it has shaped my personality and taught me valuable life lessons.

Babdem will forever hold a special place in my heart. Its natural beauty, the love of its people, and the personal growth I have experienced here have left an indelible mark on my heart and soul.
